2016 Winners

For 15 years, the CDCYM has hosted its Annual Chopin Piano Competition in Latham, NY. On Saturday, September 17, 2016, 27 musicians of the ages of 6-19 competed in front of two distinguished judges: Dr. Eliran Avni and Seán Duggan, OSB.

The competition is divided into three age groups (Chopin Novice, Chopin Apprentice, and Chopin Master) with the winner and runner-up of each group winning a cash prize. The Chopin Mazurka Award was created to award the 2nd Runner-Up in the Apprentice level. The award winners then perform in the Winners Concert the following afternoon. Here are the recordings of this year's winners at the Chopin Piano Competition Winners Concert.
